Op 25 november komt Hondsdol naar Corneel toe! Hondsdol is een punk event waarop jonge bands met talent en ambitie een kans krijgen om op het podium te staan en zich zo verder te ontwikkelen als band. Op deze editie staan Skallebieter, Wielklem, Those Left Standing, Frontstreet en DJ Dragnet.
Skallebieter
Heavy rockband SKALLEBIETER takes your daily distress to a higher level! Howling guitars, hellishly raw basslines and beastly drums takes you into a dark landscape full of haunted seas and angry crowds, the widely infamous Urk, where SKALLEBIETER was summoned in April 2018. The sincerity, gushing energy, spooky sound and songwriting made SKALLEBIETER grow into a three headed hellhound.
“We don’t need a Ouija board to summon demons,” says singer and bassplayer Gerard Bruggeman about the unique sound of SKALLEBIETER. The single RED RAIN (2020) is old school horror in it’s purest form: thrilling riffs by guitarist Cees Mulder fall like hailstones out of the hellish skies and the tight, heavy groovy drums of Pieter Brouwer leaves every drained body in ecstasy.
The dark and devilish sound of SKALLEBIETER has been described as a “sinister meeting of heavy rock and psychedelic jams,” in wich resonate the dark influences of bands like Danzig, Elder, Death Alley, Black Sabbath, Type O Negative, Queens of the Stone Age and The Misfits. SKALLEBIETER rose from the still smoking ashes of ROADCREW, a thunderous hard rock band with a stamped seaman’s book: the pursuasive power of SKALLEBIETER on stage is due to the large number of gigs of previous bands. And the ghost train SKALLEBIETER rumbles on without brakes!
Wielklem
Hard, puur en vrij. Dat is waar Wielklem voor staat. Deze 4-koppige punkhop band uit Almere brengt apocalyptische energie. Hun doel? Elk podium veranderen in een nucleair testgebied. Vergeet je EHBO-kit niet.
Those Left Standing
Vanuit de rook en smeulende resten die het einde van de Almeerse Hardcore band For Blood And Vengeance markeerde verscheen Those Left Standing. Deze gasten bleven staan om datgene te doen wat nodig is, namelijk een lekkere bak teringherrie maken! Almere City Hardcore met een rauw randje en hernieuwde energie. Na even opgehouden te zijn door een virusje bewijst TLS dat leeftijd geen rol speelt bij het neerzetten van kneiterharde liveshows. We zijn dan wel oud, maar staan nog steeds om de shit te rocken!
Frontstreet
Frontstreet is a rap-metal band that was founded in 2015. In September 2017, the quintet released their debut album “Reality Check”. The release was picked up fast by the media and the band played national radio stations, appeared in national tv shows and the video for the song “Bad Habit” was shown on “MTV Brand New”. With almost a million plays on Spotify, the band is gaining more fame as well. The band was able to play some major shows with bands including Limp Bizkit, Crazy Town, Hollywood Undead, Hacktivist, Dope D.O.D. and Fleddy Melculy.
Dj Dragnet
DJ Dragnet is een begrip in de Nederlandse underground scene. Als post-punk DJ is hij in vrijwel elk podium wel geweest. Hij draait op echte vinyl LP platen en houdt daarmee de old-school tradities in stand. En terwijl hij dat doet zorgt hij ook nog eens voor een geweldige vibe in de zaal.
